Comparable Company Analysis (Trading Comps)

Comparable Company Analysis (CCA) is valuation method used to assess the relative value of a company by comparing it to similar publicly traded companies. The goal is to gauge how the company being analysed stacks up against its peers and to estimate its market value based on these comparisons.

Alongside Discounted Cash Flow (DCF) analysis, CCA is a popular approach as it reflects current market conditions and investor sentiment—insights that DCF analysis alone may not capture.
